Danielle West is a Registered Nurse and works full time as the Arrhythmia Research Nurse and Clinical Trials Coordinator at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She is a highly experienced nurse in cardiology and general nursing with a special interest in research and patient education.

Danielle completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree at the Queensland University of Technology in 2004 and accepted a Graduate Nurse Program position at Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia. She went on to specialise as an Intensive Care Nurse focusing on Cardiology and Cardiothoracics, using this role to travel Australia and the world. Danielle has lived and worked in both metropolitan and rural areas within Australia, Dublin (Ireland), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates), before moving and settling in Melbourne. In 2014, Danielle began working as a research nurse - conducting research studies in heart failure and diabetes. She went on to complete a post graduate qualification in Health Promotion through Curtin University, WA.

Danielle joined our Melbourne Heart Rhythm team in January 2018 and is responsible for coordinating, managing and overseeing electrophysiology research within Melbourne Health.
